"Life just happened. My debt got to the point where I started to feel like I was drowning. I didn’t feel like I could fix it on my own, and I wanted to start living my life as an adult without debt. I decided to reach out for help. Feeling relieved, I knew that everything was going to be okay – a lot of work – but okay. I had a plan to pay back my debt and continue doing the things I love to do like yoga and travelling."

More Information About Us & How We Approach Things
We have provided non-profit credit counselling for over 20 years. We usually end up helping close to 95% of people who reach out to us entirely for free. Someone will only end up paying something for our help if they make the decision to sign up for our Debt Management Program. Many people see this program as a type of credit card consolidation since it happens to consolidate every one of someone’s credit card payments into just one monthly payment that fits their budget. With this program, interest is either stopped or substantially reduced. Even though this is a great program that protects peoples’ privacy, eliminates their debt, allows them to repair their credit, and puts their finances back on the right track as soon as possible, this is simply one of a variety of ways in which we assist people.
We believe that the best debt consolidation or debt help is an option that allows someone to get back on track as quickly as possible while helping them achieve their long-term financial goals. Unfortunately, our approach is at odds with the way some commission driven financial counselors, debt advisors, credit consultants, and credit advisors out there operate, but we believe that when someone is struggling financially, you need to look at all their options and focus on what’s going to help them the most in the long run. For this reason we don’t pay our staff commission – only a salary. To hold our organization to the highest standards possible we have joined, been audited by, and are accountable to the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and Credit Counselling Canada. We’re also accountable to the Canada Revenue Agency, a volunteer board of directors and are the only organization in our industry to open up our books to an external auditor every year.
If you’d like to speak with one of our professionally trained Credit and Debt Counsellors, take a look at your financial situation, and see what options you have to get back on track, call us today at 1-888-527-8999. We’re here to help you.
