"Life just happened. My debt got to the point where I started to feel like I was drowning. I didn’t feel like I could fix it on my own, and I wanted to start living my life as an adult without debt. I decided to reach out for help. Feeling relieved, I knew that everything was going to be okay – a lot of work – but okay. I had a plan to pay back my debt and continue doing the things I love to do like yoga and travelling."

More Information About Us & How We Approach Things
We have provided non-profit credit counselling for over 20 years. We usually end up helping close to 95% of people who reach out to us entirely for free. Someone will only end up paying something for our help if they make the decision to sign up for our Debt Management Program. Many people see this program as a type of credit card consolidation since it happens to consolidate every one of someone’s credit card payments into just one monthly payment that fits their budget. With this program, interest is either stopped or substantially reduced. Even though this is a great program that protects peoples’ privacy, eliminates their debt, allows them to repair their credit, and puts their finances back on the right track as soon as possible, this is simply one of a variety of ways in which we assist people.
We truly believe that the best debt consolidation or debt help is a solution that enables someone to get back on the right track as soon as possible while at the same time helping them accomplish their long term financial plans. Regrettably, the way we approach this is very different from the way some commission focused debt advisors, credit consultants, financial counselors, and credit advisors out there do things, but we firmly believe that when someone is having a difficult time financially, you need to carefully look into all options available to them and concentrate on what’s going to do the most to help them in the long-term. This is why we don’t pay any of our staff commission - only straight salaries. To also ensure our organization operates at the highest ethical standards and follows best practices, we have chosen to join, submit ourselves to audits by, and are accountable to Credit Counselling Canada and the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. We are also accountable to a volunteer board of directors, the Canada Revenue Agency, and are the only agency in our industry to open its books up to an external auditor annually. When it comes to earning and keeping your trust, we believe that maintaining the highest standards of transparency and accountability are paramount.
If you’d like one of our professionally trained Counsellors to take a look at your situation and help you figure out what all your options are to get back on track, give us a call today at 519-286-0801. All you’ve got to lose is your debt.
