Counsellor Qualifications

All of our Credit Counsellors are professionally trained. They are also required to become certified through the Accredited Financial Counsellor Canada Program which is administered by the Association for Financial Counselling and Planning Education. To ensure that our Counsellors are among the highest qualified in our industry, we actively support their ongoing skills development, and education.

Last year, our Credit Counsellors counselled over 8,600 people across Western Canada. Before joining us, most of our Credit Counsellors gained their knowledge and money management skills in the financial industry. Many of counsellors were once bankers, financial planners, or professionals in the credit industry. They know the ins and outs of the credit industry and are able to objectively provide people with options to help them deal with their debts and achieve their financial goals.

We also ensure that our Counselling team possesses the right qualities that will make them good Counsellors. We look for Counsellors who are empathetic and caring individuals who are solution-focused and know how to find real solutions to people’s financial difficulties.
