Q: I’ve been picking up mail at a friend’s house while they’re away and can’t help but notice how many bills they get. They’ve made a few comments in the past that made me wonder about their financial situation, and now with the bills, I’m pretty sure that they should get some help. Is this something credit counselling can help with?

Since we first opened our doors in 1996, we’ve been constantly amazed at the growing number of people who need our help. We now help over 30,000 people every year in Western Canada find solutions to their financial problems. It doesn’t seem as though we can open offices fast enough to keep up with the demand for help. We now have 12 offices in BC, Alberta and Manitoba.

With the award, member agencies of Credit Counselling Canada recognized the Credit Counselling Society and its staff for their outstanding contribution to credit counselling nationally.

We are going to be talking a lot about these, but we’ve also created this blog to be a place were people in Western Canada can learn all sorts of great ways to manage their money better, solve their debt problems and use their credit more wisely.
